Somebody asked you to prove something. Here is exactly what they want.

Every industry has a list. Insurance, licences, clearances, background checks, training records. Nobody hands you that list when you start a business. You find out when a contract is on the line and someone needs the paperwork by Friday.

So we wrote the list down. Who asks, what they actually want, how long it stays valid, and what happens when it runs out.

Start here if none of this is familiar

When a business hires another business, the one doing the hiring usually carries the risk. If your cleaner injures themselves in the lobby, the building can end up paying. If your electrician was never licensed, the insurer can walk away from the claim.

So the hiring side asks for proof first. That is all a compliance request is. It is not bureaucracy for its own sake. It is somebody protecting themselves before they let you through the door.

The frustrating part is not the asking. It is the repeating. Ten clients ask for the same six documents, in six different formats, on six different schedules. Then everything expires and it starts again.

CavaIt gives you one link that holds all of it, always current. But this page is free and useful whether you ever sign up or not. Read it, take what you need.

How we label proof on CavaIt

01
Self reportedYou told us. Nobody checked. Honest and clearly labelled that way.
02
Currency checkedWe confirmed the document has not expired. We did not confirm it is real.
03
Broker confirmedYour broker or issuer confirmed the details directly to us.
04
Carrier confirmedConfirmed against the source of record. The strongest label we give.

We never show a stronger label than the proof supports. A profile that says self reported says so plainly.

Condominium and residential property management

Property managers hire on behalf of a condo board and answer to that board if something goes wrong. They keep a standing roster of vendors and re verify it constantly, which makes them the heaviest repeat askers in the country.
