CAVAIT PRODUCT & SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION

How Cavait works, from first question to finished tax work.

This is the public operating guide for Cavait. It explains what each part of the product does, what a customer should expect, where human review enters the process, how filing status should be interpreted, and what to do when something does not work as expected.

01 · OVERVIEW

What Cavait is.

Cavait is the customer-facing brand of CavaIt Inc. The product is designed to make tax work easier to start and easier to follow: choose the help you need, answer focused questions, see the expected scope and price, open a case if you continue, provide the required records, and follow the work through review and completion.

Cavait is not designed to pretend professional judgment disappeared. Software can organize facts, collect records, route questions, reconcile information and reduce repetitive administration. Material tax conclusions, required professional review, approvals and regulated filing activity remain with the people and providers responsible for that work.

For individuals

Personal returns, self-employed income, planning, notices, past filings, cross-border situations and other tax questions.

For businesses

Corporate tax, tax-ready bookkeeping, payroll tax, GST/HST or sales tax, business setup, notices and cross-border support.

02 · CUSTOMER JOURNEY

The normal Cavait journey.

  1. Choose what you need.Start with a service or situation. You do not need to know the tax form or technical name.
  2. Answer the questions that change the work. The intake asks for facts that affect scope, complexity, jurisdiction, deadlines or price.
  3. Review the starting estimate.Straightforward work may receive an online estimate. Complex work can be routed for human scope review before a final price is confirmed.
  4. Create an account if you continue.Your account keeps the case, price, records, messages, approvals and next steps together.
  5. Complete the case checklist.Cavait requests only the records and unanswered facts needed for the work being performed.
  6. Review and approve.Where professional judgment or a filing approval is required, the responsible person reviews the work before the next regulated or irreversible action.
  7. Follow the final status.Cavait distinguishes preparation, review, transmission and acceptance. The case should show what happened and what, if anything, remains.

The public service catalogue is maintained at cavait.com/tax-services.

04 · PRICING & SCOPE

Price follows the actual work.

The assessment is meant to identify the work before you commit. A starting estimate is not permission to add unrelated work later without approval. If the facts change, required work expands, or a specialist is needed, Cavait should update the scope and obtain approval before charging for additional work.

  • One-off tax work should remain one-off unless you choose an ongoing service.
  • Recurring bookkeeping or payroll is priced around the recurring operating work.
  • Complex cases may require human review before a final fee is confirmed.
  • The engagement and payment record should preserve the agreed scope, fee, taxes and payment method.
Before paying

Confirm that the service, jurisdiction, period, expected deliverable and responsible party match what you intended to buy.

05 · ACCOUNTS & CASES

Your account is the operating record.

The public site helps you understand and begin the work. Once you continue, the account and case area are where Cavait can keep the engagement together: intake answers, approved scope, records, open questions, status, approvals and next steps.

If sign-in does not work

  1. Confirm you are using cavait.com and not a copied or unfamiliar domain.
  2. Retry the official sign-in method shown on the login page.
  3. Check service availability to see whether account access is currently available.
  4. If the problem continues, contact Cavait through the support details shown on the site.

06 · DOCUMENTS & DATA

Use the case workflow for sensitive records.

Tax work can involve identity information, financial records and government correspondence. Cavait separates ordinary communication from secure case records. When secure upload is active for your case, use that area rather than ordinary email, text messages or social direct messages for sensitive tax documents.

Never send passwords.

Do not email or message your CRA My Account password, IRS credentials, bank password, brokerage password, QuickBooks password or Xero password. Supported connections should use the provider’s own authorization screen.

Good document practice

  • Keep source documents intact; do not edit numbers on tax slips or notices.
  • Upload the requested record to the matching case or checklist item when available.
  • If you are unsure whether a document is required, ask before sending a full archive of unrelated records.
  • Do not place SIN/SSN values or full tax documents into a general-purpose AI chat merely to ask how Cavait works.

07 · PAYMENTS

Payment is separate from tax-agency filing.

Paying Cavait for an engagement does not itself file a return, pay a CRA or IRS balance, or prove that a government submission was accepted. Cavait treats customer payment, professional work and tax-agency transmission as separate events so the case status stays understandable.

Available payment methods can change by service, country and platform readiness. The live service-status page is the source of truth for whether online checkout is currently active.

08 · FILING & STATUS

Prepared is not filed. Transmitted is not accepted.

Tax systems have distinct states. Cavait uses those distinctions deliberately so a progress label does not imply more than actually happened.

Prepared

The return or work product has been assembled but may still require review, approval or transmission.

Reviewed

The responsible reviewer has completed the required review for the scope shown in the case.

Transmitted

A filing was sent through the applicable filing channel. This is not the same as acceptance.

Accepted / confirmed

The applicable acknowledgement or responsible-professional confirmation has been recorded.

CRA NETFILE/EFILE, IRS e-file and state programs have their own authorization requirements. Cavait should only show direct transmission as available when the applicable software, provider or professional authorization is active.

09 · CAVA & AI HELP

Cava helps route and explain the process.

Cava is designed to help people understand the next step, find the right Cavait page, explain product status in plain language and collect or organize routine information. Cava should not be treated as proof that a tax position has been professionally approved.

How to ask an AI assistant about Cavait

For product questions, give the assistant the canonical documentation URL and ask it to rely on the official Cavait pages. For current capability questions, also give it the service-status URL.

Official Cavait product guide: https://www.cavait.com/docs Current feature availability: https://www.cavait.com/service-status Security and trust boundaries: https://www.cavait.com/tax/trust Tax services: https://www.cavait.com/tax-services Tax guides: https://www.cavait.com/tax-guides
Keep sensitive information out of general AI chats.

Use AI for product-navigation and general educational questions. Use the secure Cavait case workflow for taxpayer records and identity information when that capability is available.

10 · HUMAN REVIEW

Automation reduces admin; responsibility stays explicit.

Human review is used when the work needs professional judgment, a material tax conclusion, a final scope decision, an approval, a specialist or regulated filing responsibility. The responsible person or firm should be identifiable in the engagement structure for the work they perform.

This boundary is important: an automated checklist can identify missing information, but it does not automatically turn an unresolved tax position into an approved conclusion.

11 · ACCOUNTING FIRM PARTNERS

Cavait can be the customer and workflow layer around partner expertise.

Cavait is building a network in which approved accounting and tax firms can perform agreed professional work while Cavait provides the customer journey, structured intake, records workflow, status and operating standards. Credentials, jurisdiction, insurance, quality controls, branding permissions, responsibility and economics are agreed before work is assigned.

12 · TROUBLESHOOTING

What to do when something is not working.

I cannot sign in.

Use the official login page, then check service availability. Do not create duplicate accounts repeatedly if the platform reports an outage.

I cannot upload a document.

Check whether secure upload is active. If it is gated, do not substitute ordinary email or text for sensitive tax records.

Payment is unavailable.

Check the service-status page. Payment readiness is separate from the rest of the case workflow.

My status is unclear.

Look for the exact stage: requested, in progress, prepared, reviewed, transmitted or accepted. If the status still seems inconsistent, ask Cavait to clarify the case record.

I received a tax notice.

Start with the notice workflow and preserve the original letter. Deadlines matter, so do not wait for a general support issue if the notice has a response date.

I need a person.

Use the booking flow for an unusual, urgent or judgment-heavy situation, or contact Cavait through the official support details on the site.

14 · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Quick answers.

Do I need to know which tax form I need?

No. Start with what happened or what you need done. Cavait uses the answers to narrow the service, checklist and next step.

Do I need an account to start?

No account is required to begin the public assessment. If you decide to continue, an account is used to save the estimate, case, records and status in one place.

Does a dashboard status mean my return was filed?

No. Prepared, reviewed, transmitted and accepted are different states. A filing should only be treated as filed or accepted when the applicable acknowledgement or responsible-professional confirmation is recorded.

Can I send Cavait my CRA, IRS, bank or accounting password?

No. Do not email or message passwords. When a provider connection is supported, authorization should happen through that provider’s own sign-in or consent screen.

What if a feature is unavailable?

Check the service-availability page first. Cavait intentionally gates account, upload, payment and tax-agency transmission capabilities separately so one unavailable integration does not imply every service is unavailable.

Can I ask an AI assistant how Cavait works?

Yes for general process questions. Point the assistant to cavait.com/docs and, for current feature availability, cavait.com/service-status. Do not paste SIN/SSN values, tax slips, passwords or other sensitive records into a general-purpose AI chat just to get product help.
